Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone

Accessibility isn't a feature we added at the end. It shapes every choice we make, from the words we use to the colors on the screen.

Our commitment

DivergentCents.org is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people of all abilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checkbox.

What we've built in

  • Adjustable text size, high-contrast mode, and a dyslexia-friendly font, available on every page.
  • Clear keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators throughout the site.
  • A skip-to-content link so you can bypass the menu and jump straight to the page.
  • Plain-language writing that avoids jargon and explains terms when we use them.
  • Descriptive text for images and meaningful labels on every form field.
  • Color choices and contrast tested for readability.
  • Respect for your system setting to reduce motion.

Using the accessibility tools

Look for the accessibility button in the bottom corner of every page. From there you can make text larger, turn on high contrast, and switch to a more readable font. Your choices are remembered the next time you visit.

We want to hear from you
